We ask for your email address when you signup to our newsletter. This is our primary mechanism to identify you.
We take great care to keep your personal information safe, all our live services and databases operate from computers that are housed in secure data centres with heavily restricted access. We operate numerous levels of security to prevent unauthorised access to those computers including firewalls and passwords.
We use your email address to identify you and to send occasional alerts, reminders and newsletters in relation to Crackle and how you use it. All these emails contain a link that allows you to opt out of further communication with a single click.
To help us deliver Crackle we use various 3rd party services:
Using Crackle requires a Campfire account. All Campfire chats are handled by 37signals via their servers. You can find out more by reading the 37signals security overview. We do not store your Campfire account details or chat history.
Google Analytics collects statistical data about the use of our website and application. The information we see is aggregated and does not contain any personally identifiable data. We use the information to understand the way people use Crackle so we can make it better.
We also use Campaign Monitor for sending broadcast emails. It is a reputable market leading company and does not use your personal data for anything other than helping us deliver Crackle to you.
Other companies in our group provide services to us, such as billing credit control, for which we need to disclose certain information.
